In the next couple of weeks Autumn/winter feeding will start with a big change this winter no more maize will be added to the lake only a feed boilie made up for us by tails up bait our supplier of peachy keen and when water temperatures are right also pellet will be added weekly.
Hopefully our fish will gain weight and good growth over the winter it will be very exciting for the start of 2020 season when the big girls start tripping up.

Remember guys also new rule changes to bait only boilie fresh frozen not shelf life and pellet only our own will be allowed on the lake, also no more use of plastic/fake baits, so no more particles, tinned sweetcorn, tiger nuts, chick peas etc etc ..............

This will all be live on our website for 2020 season.

30th October 2019

We had some good friends over all anglers who fish here helping out with some works on the lake fishing the nights trying to trip a few up

Sir Bob on swim 9,Tony on swim 5 and Josh who now lives locally to us won't be fishing this time around he will be back some time in November with Tony.

Sir Bob as always tripped up a couple on the first night Big Al @ 43 lb 9 oz and a common which could have only been a stockie @ 27 lb 8 oz both on peachy keen PacMan style, Tony tripped up Small Scar @ 56 lb 8 oz Friday morning, just before I took dinner down Friday evening Bob tripped up a  very unique looking hybrid common @ 27 lb 6 oz one we have no record of something to keep an eye on !

Early hours that Saturday Bob did a brace of 40's 41 lb 14 oz and 40 lb 8 oz on peachy keen and citrus PacMan style, Tony left that Saturday morning but is only local to us he will return later in the month to fish with Josh.
Early Saturday evening it was horrible conditions gales heavy rain Sir Bob tripped up the perfect common best weight 49 lb 14 oz where has this fish been the last couple of years it's month was perfect !
Another one around same time as the night before Nobby at his best weight 46 lb 12 oz.

Gales torrential rain again overnight did put the lake up a few inches stream is now running Sunday morning early doors a fish that's come onto my radar recently has just broke the 50 @ 50 lb 6 oz Sir Bob's 8 th fish now named Amy again on the peachy keen !
Sunday night fish Number 9 and second 50 of the day Tyla best weight @ 52 lb 2 oz on a he peachy keen pink !
Didn't take long Monday evening fish number 10 rods hadn't been out long Adrian @ 44 lb 15 oz on the peachy keen pink again !
Fishing did slow down a touch water temperature dropped a few degrees with all the fresh water coming in first light 34 lb 6 oz, 35 lb that's fish number 11 and 12 Both feb17 stockies one on peachy keen normal and the other on the pink !

Average weight dropped a bit after last couple of stockies but still ended up around 42 lb !

The weather was awful this week gales storms heavy rain low pressure stayed with us and the water temperature dropped to 12 degrees.
Considering the weather we got the jobs done hats off to the guys working in horrible conditions it means a lot and we still got a few out on the bank inbetween would have been nice to see The Mole or even maybe Daisy but she never shows her face late in the season .
Massive thank you to Sir Bob #goodfriend

19th October 2019

Only the two guys on the lake this week which they booked out exclusively to themselves.
Steve and Kevin from our home county Essex Shut Up !

Our last group of the season not the norm but this could be down to bretix !

Guys are fishing swims 5 and 9 using there own baits from DT baits,no pellet or particle used this week.

In the following weeks we have work going on around the lake some netting and moving of the mature fish from the blue lagoon to the main lake, house stock fish to the blue,Sir Bob's over along with other anglers Tony and Josh always great to have helping hands.

We have seen guys struggle time and time again when different boilie baits are used on the lake it takes time for the fish to switch over sometimes days maybe a week the weather hasn't been great changeable winds a north easterly for couple of days which isn't great rain sometimes heavy sunshine and a few cooler nights.

Friday it was warmer and brighter we also saw our first fish out off swim 9 for Steve 49 lb 12 oz and a 35 lb 8 oz,with an hours fishing left Kevin saved a blank on swim 5 tripping up Stallone @ 57 lb 6 oz on peaches and cream snowman best weight for this fish and its got him on the wall of the clubhouse !

Lovely meeting up with these guys I was hoping for a better result but we finished on a very good fish a 60 in the making !

See you next year please keep upto date on our Facebook and Instagram pages over the winter always something happening !

12th October 2019

First time on the lake for these guys Eddie,James,Rich,Chris and Bob.
Fishing swims 3,4,5,9 and 10.
Baits being used are our freshly cooked particles/pellet some peachy keen various other boilie bottom baits, some homemades.
Not everyone is using a bait boat this week.

The fish stayed on the munch and it carried on from where the last group left off swim 9 again producing the most fish, everyone done PB's both common and mirror.

Starting with the named fish great to see William back into the 50's after losing 12 lb this summer 50 lb 5 oz,Jenny 48,8,Jess 46,11, Barrel 45,5, Broken Tail 45,5, Coup 43 lb, Blondie 44 lb, Shoulder Scale 44 lb, H 42 lb, Buzz Off 35 lb, Two faces the Ghost 32 lb, and others at 49,5, 47,1, 47, 32,8, 32,2 and a new fish only 20 lb but a stunner (Scales)

Excellent fish average as expected for this time of year just over 42 lb not as hard fishing as the summer months but you still have to be on your game.

The weather this week was shocking very wet a storm on Monday with driving rain 100 + KM/h gusts made the guys week a little uncomfortable inbetween sunshine and clouds.

5th October 2019

21st September 2019

Andy,Alan,Dave,Phil and Steve the Hulligans, returning after visiting us some years back,Andy was the only angler apart from Sir Bob to have caught Amber the common and GI Jones the common in the same week.

Guys are fishing swims 3,4,5,9 and 11 Phil moved to swim 8 on Wednesday from swim 11 which deffo put too much pressure on that end of the lake and changed the fishing, various boilies being used our freshly cooked particles/pellet and our very own peachy keen pink/normal.

We were always going to see some of the A team with lower temperatures and lower pressure a bit of rain it was just what the doctor ordered after being in a drought for many months and no rain from May it was all welcome.

Let's start with the fish 13 named fish Ambler,Small Tail,Sid 56 lb,Orangina,Sir Bob II,Jenny,Small Scar 53 lb 2 oz,Stretch the common,scar the common,conky,Blondie,Stallone 53 lb 4 oz,a new named fish Castle AI 47 lb,so including other fish total was 3 X 50, 12 X 40, 7 X 30s, 43 lb 12 oz grass carp, 24/27 lb  stockies,2 X growers on 18 lb mirror and a 19.4 and 18 lb mint commons born in the lake.

Over 30 runs 27 fish banked 3 growers on took the whole groups fish average down to just over 39 lb,
It was all about swim 5 PB mirror 53 lb 2 oz PB grass carp 43 lb 12 oz also 9 x 40's and several others Alans fish average was over 42 lb,Steve swim 9 also done his PB mirror twice over he also had several other fish 2 X 50's upto 56 lb with Sid,Andy on swim 4 banked 3 X 40s one of them was Scar the common from his margin spot home and a new PB mirror with Jenny 47 lb 2 oz and a couple of 30s,

Was great meeting up with the guys from Hull again always a few laughs can't wait for there return.

14th September 2019

Group of four on the lake this week, two of them visited us 8 years ago.
Steve,Paul,Gary and Ben fishing swims 3,5,9 and 11 all fanned out covering most of the lake.
Baits being used are freshly cooked particles various boilie baits from different companies,

I was very excited for the week we were deffo going to see some of the A team out with these very talented anglers on the lake, firstly the guys didn't fish the days being pointless really daily temperatures over 33 degrees a very hot week very high pressure two of the group didn't even put there bivvies up,they did visit always a must Oradour sur Glane the Second World War village destroyed by the Germans.

But when the rods were in the water they had over 20 runs and tripping up some units the high light and to my surprise Daisy off swim 5 yes 5 ! Ben smashed his PB @ 62 lb 8 oz, also Nobby, thumbprint,Emily, barrel, buzz off,Jayden, big AI and Nemo a few home growers also turned up all commons and a Feb 17 stockie a Nats under 30 lb guys also had a few out of the Blue Lagoon.
Salty squid pink pop ups working well and you know anything topped with white which tripped the big girl up with cooler temperatures this would have been a massive hit for these guys.

Reflecting on the week and the guys agreed they did very well considering fishing a very hard week a very gusty strong north easterly did not help that didn't leave until late into Friday.

Great bunch of guys can't wait for the return !

7th September 2019

Individuals this week local guy Pete is on swim 5 next to him swim 4 is Neil returning for his second trip of the year and over the other side is Martyn and his partner Shelly on swim 9.

We were so sorry that Neil had to leave us early Wednesday morning due to a family bereavement, we are truly sorry for your loss Neil, our thoughts are with you and your family.

Baits used were freshly cooked particles/pellet various boilies Peachy keen Pink and normal, Martyn is using the boilie that used to be fished on the lake when we took over PRF peach red fish Ash @tailsupbait made him a patch up for his trip, everyone is using bait boats.

Weather throughout the week got hotter and hotter 32 degrees Friday pressure also climbed higher and higher winds were towards the end of the week north easterly not the best with only Pete fishing from Friday it was going to be hard for him after Martyn and Shelly left early to break there journey up home.

My feelings before the week started with positive everything ticked the boxes I was sure some of the A team were going to show themselves, I won't wrong split tail,Jess and forest graced the bank, before Neil had to leave early he banked Jess new PB 43 lb 12 oz,Pete tripped up a few including Split Tail 47 lb 14 oz, Martyn banked Forest 44 lb 8 oz and new PB Small Scar @ 54 lb everyone had a 40 but as the week went on and the pressure went up the fishing slowed down, the fish came off white pop ups, peachy keen PacMan style and maize fished over particles and pellet.

Some of the fish are still down in weight but gaining a bit since last captures even though this has been a very hot long dry summer the fish that come out this week were all in mint condition.

See you guys same time next year your spots have been saved !
