Hats off to the guys they stuck at it trying different methods and baits throughout but they couldn't get the fish to pick up what they were offering just a quick take to find the fish had dropped it that was the story of the week.
Weather was blazing sunshine again temperatures up to 36.8 degrees through the week one cooler evening produced 3 fish.
Water temperature dropped off after the cool evening to 25 degrees.
A returning group who have visited a number of times, but unfortunately due to their lack of respect to our property and the disgraceful state they kept and left the lodge in, will not be coming back.
It was an interesting one this week with a heat wave some swims produced in the heat and others didn't just the odd rogue fish caught. Only 8 fish were banked up to 44 lb which came off swim 3 before the heatwave had kicked in on the first night they arrived. We don't normally like having to report on people blanking on the lake but this week is an exception and we had 3 guys on a blank.
Weather throughout the week blazing sunshine temperatures up to 40 degrees.
Water temperature hit 30 degrees Friday afternoon.

Some good fish were still banked this week very changeable weather throughout the week and a big drop in water temperature at the start of the week after heavy rain for two days made the fish I think moody.
Even so we had 4 PB's Dave snr 45 lb 8 oz,Dusty 42 lb,Alan 54 lb and nobby with The Big Scale 53 lb 8 oz,
Weather was very wet at the start and very warm towards the end with temperatures reaching 30 degrees.

After a late cancellation we have no main group on this week bet they will be laughing there heads off after reading this,so John a friend of ours fished first part of the week and made room for the start of our works on the fishery,Stage one stock lake.
After the mini spawning session last week things should have been clear cut for John, but couldn't have been more wrong it's been strangely quiet on the lake again, then Bam ! heavy spawning this time with the big girls dropping there loads everywhere how many more times this year ? But I must say this time is full on,John ended up losing 2 big girls at the net and through the towel in after the weekend, looks like the next group will be busy they are going to be on the munch for sure looks like they are all done now.
After the heat wave we have been having lately with temperatures upto 36 degrees it was on the cards there was going to be a storm or two,Thursday night went off with a bang heavy rain gale force winds and thunder and lighting for well over an hour, again I bet the guys that cancelled on us wouldn't have liked this we didn't and we watched from in doors.
Lots more storm fronts coming to us over the weekend with one banging around still Friday morning and a orange warning in place for Sunday could be an interesting week, second half of the week is going to be hot and sunny again.
Water temperature 20 degrees.

Baits being used are particle, pellet Prf,Pro seed boilies and various hook baits and hi viz pop ups.
From the off swim 5 was holding many fish and wasn't long before Alex had bagged a few but these fish never stay around too long before they move on am sure if it wasn't for the cup final he would have taken a lot more fish, going into the week around 3 - 4 big groups of fish very active crashing and fizzing none stop not bothered by baits, were am sure spawning again on top of high temperatures upto 36 degrees blue skies hot sunshine high pressure made this week very interesting for the group.
Putting that aside they still done 5 PB 's and enjoyed it,Selleck had fun in the boat with a cat PB 57 lb,Babba did his PB mirror and common as did Alex,Rex banked fish upto 46 lb 8 oz which ended up the biggest of the week no big girls this week think they were hiding, and Josh banked fish to 46 lb.

Whatever there approach to the week was the big girls just didn't want to play.

From near perfect conditions last week to this very high temperatures Monday,Tuesday and Wednesday were in the 30's, Great for sun worshippers who want a tan but not if your after a new PB It was always on the cards we would see the odd rogue fish in the daytime,Amazing to think I was sweating over spawning a couple of weeks ago and now the lake is a live with new fry with zander chasing them they grow so fast.
Boom ! a rogue fish Wednesday lunchtime in 32 degrees of sunshine,The Sub swim 5 Mark nailed him on PRF boilie bottom bait stiff D rig epic fight with this male fish 50 lb 2 oz new PB I had the joy of watching it from start to finish another 50 lb + hoodie bites the dust.Nick on swim 11 hooked up with one of the resident big cats for over 20 minutes one evening until it had enough and stripped the reel of line and flat Rodded him through the cut.
