17th February 2024

Hi Guys, so I got back out on the bank fishing swim 9 with the same bait as before crumbed boilie mixed with maize.

The weather this time wasn’t as nice I had some rain with strong winds which were changeable while I was down on the swim.

So the fishing was very hard running out of ideas I went for all out on mainlines sushi white pops ups on the last night, I woke to nothing again so started getting packed up suddenly left hand rod 2 beeps and I was into a proper unit which turned out to be Katie @ her best weight 64 lb 8 oz Boom 💥

27 January 2024

Hi guys, it had been a while since I had fished so was super excited about this mini session.

So swim 9 it was fishing with Archiepeachy white/Red crumbed boilie mixed with maize.

I had forgotten how hard it can be fishing in the winter but the weather was on my side very mild with warm nights a southerly blowing right down to me.

Just when I thought it was a blank Boom 💥 right hand rod went off landing a unnamed common it’s first time as a fifty @ 50 lb 4 oz on a spinner rig salty squid pop up topped with half a yellow essential cell on top.

21 st October 2023

Hi Guys, this week 3 locals Ian, Tony, and Lee all English and 2 from the UK Jordan and Rob.

Fishing swims 3, 5, 8, 9 and 10.

Baits being used are Archiepeachy red and white and pellet.

Well, where to start? What can you say about this week? A wash out, that’s an understatement, it rained and rained and rained, don’t know how they stuck it out to the end but they did. If we did hoodies for the wettest conditions I’ve ever fished, they would all have one!

We were supposed to drop the main lake water to net in a weeks time but sadly this wont happen because we are flooded out where the outlet to the lake is so there wont be any where for the water to go. I still have the house lake to pump out and get the fatties out and move to the blue lagoon to be stocked in a couple of seasons.

Lets get back to the fishing. We had 2 PBs with Jordan swim 3 tripped up Ambler @ 45 lb 2 oz and Rob on swim 5 tripped up Bacon tail @ 37 lb another side was very quiet no big girls the lads also had several stockies and Ian on swim 8 did a mid 30. I hope Rob and Jordan wont be put off by their first French trip and return with the guys next year who have already booked their week, this time when its hopefully warmer and drier.

That’s me and Ellen finished for the year but as always we will have local guys doing a few nights here and there over the winter so we will still be posting on FB/ Instagram.

See you in 2024.

14 th October 2023

The guys were using as before baitworks Atlantic heat and creamino along with our pellet.

Besides the elements against them they still managed fish to just over 40 lb and several stockies up to the 30lb mark so this week no big girls.

Fishing swims 4 ,9, 10 and 11 but swims 1,5 and 12 were also fished, guys are using various boilie baits The Cell, Archiepeachy white and red among some all using bait boats.

What a change over it was high winds torrential rain hale made it very tricky for the 4 guys to get set up but we got there in the end, water temperature around 9-10 after all the fresh water coming in the rest of the week was settled sunshine but cooler nights clear skies we could see our last ground frosts of the year.

The lake fished very hard this week with only a handful of stockies caught biggest being just over 30 lb.
