The fishery is hidden away within a secluded, heavily wooded site within the Charente dept, which is said to be the second sunniest region in the whole of France.

Travelling times are approx 6-7 hours from the Brittany and Normandy ports on excellent, normally very quiet roads. The majority of which are motorways. Travelling time from Calais is an hour or so longer but is now very easy simply following the A28 motorway. The journey from Calais to Poitiers is now entirely motorways and using the A16, A28 and A10 motorways has cut an hour off the journey. Poitiers to the lake is on a good major road the N147.

We suggest Portsmouth to Le Havre with LD Lines. These crossings are usually cheaper, and the journey from Le Havre is almost entirely on motorways.
